Guilin, China
Li River
The Li River flows for 426 kilometers from its source at Maoershan Mountain in the Nanling Mountains in Guilin City to the south, where it joins the Xi River. The Li River is known for its ethereal scenery with tower-like limestone peaks on both banks, and its beauty has long been depicted in ink paintings. River cruises on pleasure boats and bamboo rafts, immersing visitors in the scenic world of mountains and water, have become one of the most popular tourist activities in Guilin.
Guilin
The city of Guilin stretches between the flow of the Li River and limestone peaks in southern China. The city has spun out its history as a city since the Qin Dynasty, when its government offices were established. The scenic landscape created by rocky mountains of various sizes, characteristic of karst landscapes, is the biggest factor that attracts people to this area. Cruises that take visitors to these fantastic landscapes, which have been depicted in landscape paintings since ancient times, are becoming increasingly popular.
