Geirangerfjord
Geirangerfjord is one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, located about 120 km off the coastline, with a spectacular view of a U-shaped valley surrounded by 1,500-meter-high mountains. The highlight of sightseeing is a cruise with a view of the fjord, and many boats, from luxury cruise ships to liners, come and go. Climbing up the mountain road from the town of Geiranger, the farthest point of the fjord, you can see the endlessly unforgettable scenery of the ships calling at the end of the fjord and the majestic mountains surrounding it.
Golden Route
Route 63, which leads from Geirangerfjord to the town of Åndalsnes in the north, is called the Golden Route because of its breathtakingly beautiful scenery of narrow inlets, steep cliffs, and cascading waterfalls. In particular, the steep, winding slope of Trollstigen (The troll path) is famous for its steep but spectacular views, and is a popular driving destination during the summer season.
