Kagoshima, Japan
Ryumondaki Waterfall
Ryumondaki Waterfall is located in the middle of the Amikake River that flows through Aira City. The waterfall falls on the difference between the Shirasu-Daichi and the Aira Plain, and has a drop of 46 meters and a width of 43 meters. The waterfall is so beautiful that it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan" for the way it flows down the rock face with great force, changing the volume of water from time to time. The most famous waterfall in Kagoshima can be seen from a car window along the Kyushu Expressway, in addition to the well-maintained promenade for an up-close and powerful view.
Kirishima
Kirishima has long attracted people with its beautiful scenery, including lakes created by volcanoes and unique vegetation. It was here that Ryoma Sakamoto, a hero of the last days of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and his wife, Oryo, chose to spend their first honeymoon in Japan. After enjoying the magnificent nature through mountain climbing and hiking, it would be a good idea to relax in a natural hot spring.
