Maruyama Park
Located at the foot of Higashiyama, Maruyama Park is the oldest urban park in Kyoto City, and since its opening in 1886, it has been a popular place for citizens to relax and enjoy themselves. The Gion weeping cherry blossoms standing majestically in the center of the park and the circular garden with a pond in front of it create an elegant atmosphere that delights the eyes of visitors.
Gion and Kiyomizu
Kiyomizu Temple, known for its "Kiyomizu-no-butai" (stage of Kiyomizu), and Gion, famous for its maiko (apprentice geisha). The area connecting these two world-famous tourist spots is full of attractions such as Kodaiji Temple, Yasaka Shrine, and Sannenzaka. The Kyoto-style streets are always crowded with kimono-clad tourists.
