Marktplatz in Old Town Bremen is a historic square that preserves the glory of the Hanseatic city that developed in the Middle Ages, and is surrounded by atmospheric buildings, including the Gothic City Hall and the statue of Roland standing in the square, which were registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. In winter, the entire square is filled with a bright and shiny atmosphere during the Christmas market.
Old Town, Bremen
The old town of Bremen is located along the Weser River in northern Germany. The city, which prospered as a Hanseatic city since the Middle Ages, is still surrounded by the moat used for defense in those days, and retains its stately Gothic architecture and intricate cobblestone alleys. There are many attractive attractions with a medieval flavor, including the beautiful Town Hall flanked by statues of the animals from the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale, Town Musicians of Bremen.
