Mount Tokachi
The 2,077-meter-high Mount Tokachi is the main peak of the Tokachi mountain range, which is part of the Daisetsuzan National Park. Although it is an active volcano that erupts frequently, it is popular as a mountain where even beginners can easily climb and enjoy the alpine plants and beautiful views. After climbing the mountain, you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs at the foot of the mountain and feel the rich blessings of the volcano all over your body.
Daisetsuzan National Park
Daisetsuzan National Park is home to a series of 2,000-meter-high mountains, led by Asahidake, the highest mountain in Hokkaido. The park is home to about 250 species of alpine plants, and in the summer the colorful flowers are a delight to the eyes of visitors. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent nature by trekking through beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and other scenic spots, and soaking in hot springs produced by active volcanoes.
