Goryo Shrine
Goryo Shrine is an ancient temple located at the foot of a mountain, about a 5-minute walk from Hase Station on the Enoshima Electric Railway Line. The shrine dates back to the late Heian period (794-1185), and within its precincts are small shrines dedicated to various deities and a 400-year-old sacred tree. The shrine is also famous as a railroad spot, with the Enoden train tracks running right in front of the torii gate, and in June visitors can enjoy a rare collaboration between the hydrangeas that color the shrine grounds and the green Enoden train cars.
