Goðafoss
The Goðafoss Waterfall is a horseshoe-shaped waterfall with two wide waterfalls with different drops on either side of a single waterfall flowing through the rocks. With a width of about 30 meters and a drop of about 12 meters, the waterfall is not so large in Iceland, where there are many dynamic waterfalls, but it is well known for its unique and spectacular view. It is easily accessible from Route 1, and is one of the most popular tourist spots in North Iceland.
Diamond Circle
In northeastern Iceland, the Diamond Circle is a classic tourist route that takes you through a variety of unique landscapes created by volcanic activity. Starting from the central city of Akureyri in the north, the 250km route will take you to the jade-colored waters of Lake Mývatn and the Dettifoss Waterfall, one of Europe's largest waterfalls, and other spectacular natural formations.
