Mtkvari River
The Mtkvari River flows through a valley between the Greater Caucasus and the Lesser Caucasus, and is also known as the Kura River. It originates near Kars in northeastern Turkey, flows through Georgia in a large arc, and flows into Azerbaijan before emptying into the Caspian Sea. It is an important river for the region, having been used for irrigation agriculture since ancient times.
City of Tbilisi
Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, weaves its history since the 5th century on both banks of the Mtkvari River, surrounded by mountains on three sides. In the center of the city, various elements from medieval fortresses to the colorful old town, Soviet-era housing complexes, and state-of-the-art and eccentric buildings come together to create a unique landscape. Known as a cultural hub by a new generation, the city is also full of hot spots for fashion, art, clubs, and other fields that are the focus of the world's attention.
