Blauherd
Blauherd is a lift station located in the mountainous region to the east of Zermatt. Renowned for its excellent views, it is the base for hiking trails to lakes and alpine vegetation in the summer and a staging point for several ski lifts in the winter. With 360-degree views of the Matterhorn and the Alps just outside of Zermatt, it is a year-round viewing spot for tourists.
Matterhorn
Located on the border between Switzerland and Italy, the 4,478-meter-high Matterhorn is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Alps. The sharp, pyramid-like peak against the blue sky is a magnet for people from all over the world. There are many observation spots and hiking trails that allow non-mountaineers to view the mountain easily, including a mountain climbing train and a ropeway.
