Galata Tower

The Galata Tower, built in 1348 in the Romanesque style on a hill in the new city of Istanbul overlooking Golden Horn Bay, is a symbol of the new city with its impressive 67-meter high conical roof. Many tourists visit the tower for the wonderful view of the many mosques in the historic district of the old city, as well as the cityscape of Asia across the Bosphorus, making it one of the most popular tourist spots in the new city.
