Keino Matsubara
Keino Matsubara is a 2.5 km long black pine forest on a sandy beach facing Harimanada on the west coast of Awaji Island. It is a scenic spot that has been loved by people since ancient times, and is mentioned in the Manyoshu. It has been selected as one of the 100 best beaches in Japan, one of the 100 best sunsets in Japan, and is a scenic spot that attracts many visitors not only during the summer bathing season but also throughout the year.
Awaji Island
Awaji Island is the largest island in the Seto Inland Sea and is connected to Honshu to the north by the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and to Shikoku to the south by the Naruto Bridge. Awaji Island is known as the "Island of Flowers" and you can enjoy the seasonal flowers along with the view of the sea. Awaji Island is also famous for its gourmet food, including seafood, Awaji beef and onions.
