Dolomites
The Dolomites, a mountainous region in northeastern Italy, is known for its numerous mountain massifs that contain a unique ore called dolomite. The mountains that rise like spires toward the sky are a unique and spectacular natural formation, and their impressive scenery, together with the forests and villages that cover their foothills, is a highlight of the region. It is a major resort area that attracts people all year round, with mountain climbing and hiking in the summer and a skiing mecca in the winter.
