Coronado Bridge
The Coronado Bridge is a graceful curve in San Diego Bay. It is a 3,400-meter-long box-girder bridge connecting the city of San Diego to Coronado on the other side of the bay. The bridge extends straight from the junction with the San Diego Freeway to the southwest, then curves 80 degrees at sea to connect to Coronado. Painted blue to harmonize with the surrounding ocean and sky, the bridge blends into the landscape of the resort town of Coronado and has become a familiar symbol of San Diego Bay.
Coronado
Coronado is a peninsula that stretches across San Diego Bay from downtown. The Pacific Ocean side of the peninsula, which is long and narrow from north to south, is lined with beautiful long white sand beaches, and luxury hotels are scattered throughout the island. On this resort island, which has been visited by numerous celebrities and has a history spanning more than a century, you can enjoy a relaxing holiday, visiting fashionable stores and restaurants, playing marine sports, and cycling.
