Meguro River

The Meguro River flows through the center of Tokyo for about 8 km and flows into Tokyo Bay. It is known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in spring, with rows of cherry trees lining both banks forming an elegant cherry blossom tunnel. In the old days, there was a port at the mouth of the river where goods came and went, hence the name "Shinagawa (goods river)", which can still be seen in the name of the place. Nakameguro
