Odaigahara

Odaigahara is a dynamic terrain of mountains and valleys centered on Hidegatake, located on the border between Nara and Mie prefectures. The moist winds blowing from the Kumano-nada Sea bring a large amount of rainfall, making this one of the rainiest areas in Japan, and the pristine forests are home to a rich ecosystem. Okuyoshino

Okuyoshino, located in the southernmost part of Nara Prefecture, is separated from the outside world by the Kii Mountains and still retains its own culture and dialect.
