The United Kingdom is located in northwestern Europe and consists of four constituent countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. It has produced numerous literary and artistic figures, including Shakespeare and Charles Dickens, and has also had a global influence on rock music and bands like The Beatles. There are also many tourist attractions that are steeped in history, such as Big Ben in London, Edinburgh Castle in Scotland, and the ancient ruins of Stonehenge.
