Kraków, Poland
Planty Park
Planty Park surrounds the historic center of Kraków. It is a city park built in 1830 on the site of the city walls that originally protected the old city. The park is about 4km long and is divided into several gardens, some of which have preserved medieval gates and forts. It is the most popular park in Kraków, where citizens and tourists visiting the old town often stop to relax.
Kraków
Kraków flourished as the capital of the Kingdom of Poland for about 600 years from the 11th century. Miraculously, the city escaped major destruction during World War II, and its medieval streets remain intact, making it one of the first 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are many stately historical buildings such as the 14th century St. Mary's Church and the Textile House facing the central square, and the Wawel Castle, located in the south of the district, which encompasses architectural styles from various periods.
