The river begins at the confluence of the Tunga and Bhadra rivers flowing through the Western Ghats, traverses the Deccan Plateau for 531 km, and finally empties into the Krishna River. Various temples and ancient ruins stand along the river, which brings rich blessings and continues to give healing to the visitors.
