Tidal Flat in Funaura Bay
In Funaura Bay in the northern part of Iriomote Island, tidal flats formed by sediment pouring in from rivers at low tide appear. The tidal flat, where the roots of mangroves appear to float, is truly a treasure house of living creatures. You can walk down to the mudflats and observe the creatures up close and personal.
