Belgrade Old Town
The Old Town stretches out at the foot of the Belgrade Fortress, which stands overlooking the confluence of the Danube and Sava Rivers. Knez Mihailova Street, which connects Kalemegdan Park with the fortress and Republic Square, the center of the old town, is lined with historic stone buildings built in the 1870s. The cobblestone pedestrian street is lined with cafes and stores and is always crowded with locals and tourists.
