Seven Stars tree
In the vast, rolling hills of Biei, you'll find scattered trees standing alone in the middle of patchwork-like fields. Among them, the most iconic is the “Seven Stars Tree.” This solitary oak gained its name after being featured on a package of the Seven Stars cigarette brand in 1976. Even over 40 years later, it continues to draw visitors with its unchanging presence.
Furano and Biei
The idyllic landscape of Furano and Biei, with its patchwork of colorful fields on rolling hills, is familiar to many. On a drive through the flower fields that color the land with the peaks of Daisetsuzan Mountains in the background, you can enjoy the scenery as well as the gourmet food produced by nature's bounty. It is also a good idea to stay at a resort hotel nestled deep in a forest of white birches and enjoy the time flowing peacefully.
