Hagoromo Falls
The graceful Hagoromo Falls, flowing through the mountains of the Daisetsu Mountains, is a famous waterfall with the largest drop in Hokkaido. It is located at the confluence of Aishipopsawa and Futamisawa, tributaries of the Chubetsu River, and is characterized by its unique and atmospheric appearance, flowing down in seven stages of refraction. The observation deck, which looks up at the waterfall from downstream, and the Takimidai, which offers a panoramic view from the top of the mountain, are especially crowded during the autumn foliage season.
Daisetsuzan National Park
Daisetsuzan National Park is home to a series of 2,000-meter-high mountains, led by Asahidake, the highest mountain in Hokkaido. The park is home to about 250 species of alpine plants, and in the summer the colorful flowers are a delight to the eyes of visitors. Visitors can enjoy the magnificent nature by trekking through beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and other scenic spots, and soaking in hot springs produced by active volcanoes.
