Isle of Pines, New Caledonia
Natural pool
Baie d'Oro, located in the northeastern part of Isle of Pines, is a calm, emerald-green sea where uplifted coral blocks the inflow of the open sea. Natural pool, an inlet in one corner of Baie d'Oro, is, as its name suggests, a natural pool of seawater flowing in through the rocks. Surrounded by forest and powder sand, the cove is a paradise of tropical fish swimming among the coral. It is known as one of the most spectacular views on the Isle of Pines.
Isle of Pines
The beautiful Isle of Pines, located in the ocean about 100 km southeast of the capital Noumea, is situated in a World Heritage lagoon and is also known as the "Jewel Box of the Sea. There are many activities to enjoy the unspoiled nature, such as diving where you can see a variety of creatures in the clear waters, and snorkeling at Kuto Beach and Kanumera Beach with their fine powder sand.
