Milford Road
The 120km stretch of Highway 94 between Te Anau and Milford Sound is known as the Milford Road, and is a route that allows you to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Fiordland while driving. On the way to Milford Sound, one of New Zealand's most scenic spots, you can stop at a number of tourist attractions along the road to experience the natural beauty of mountains and valleys, greenery and water created by glaciers.
Fjordland
Fjordland stretches along the west coast of Southland, the southernmost tip of New Zealand's South Island. The rugged terrain consisting of the Southern Alps and the intricate coastal fjords has created a magnificent wilderness with few inhabitants. The area is one of the largest national parks in the world and is popular for activities that allow visitors to experience the great outdoors, such as sightseeing boats that take visitors on a tour of the many waterfalls that flow down from the steep mountain sides into the intricate sea.
