Venice Canals
A little further inland from Venice Beach, you will find a quiet, upscale residential area surrounded by canals. The Venice Canal was built in 1905 to resemble Venice, Italy. In contrast to the pop-up atmosphere of the beach, the area is surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere, and is popular as a strolling course where you can take a leisurely stroll along the canal while admiring the elaborate mansions.
Santa Monica
When you think of the ocean in California, the first thing that comes to mind is Santa Monica Beach. It is warm and sunny all year round, and the blue skies and sparkling ocean make the trip more exciting. Near the beach, there is a pier with stores and cafes and an amusement park, which is always crowded with people. Whether you are looking for souvenirs or just want to indulge in some seafood, this is an area where you can have fun all day long.
