Walls of Dubrovnik

The city walls surrounding the old town of Dubrovnik are solid walls that originated in the 8th century and have been expanded and reinforced throughout the Middle Ages. The wall, which is 1,940 meters long and up to 25 meters high, is the greatest element of the picturesque cityscape.
