Poland is located in central Europe and borders the Baltic Sea to the north. The medieval city of Krakow and the Wieliczka Salt Mine in its suburbs were both the first in the world to be registered as World Cultural Heritage sites. The Auschwitz concentration camp, which tells the negative history of mankind, is also an important tourist attraction. Concerts are also popular, where visitors can enjoy the traditional folk dances, mazurkas, and polonaises that Chopin popularized around the world, as well as other music that has been a part of the region for centuries.
