Tempelhof Airport
Tempelhof Airport, located near the center of Berlin, served as Germany's main airport from its opening in 1923 until its closure in 2008. The vast site has remained undeveloped and is now Berlin's largest urban park. The endless grasslands and runways create an impressive landscape where cyclists, picnickers, and others enjoy leisurely holidays.
Tempelhof
Tempelhof is located south of Berlin's Mitte and Kreuzberg. The landmark of this district is Tempelhofer Feld, which was closed as an airport in 2008. The park, which is now a popular place for joggers, cyclists, picnickers, and barbecuers, is a place where people can enjoy the facilities of the past, such as terminals and hangars, which were once used by airplanes.
