Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu is a ruin of the Inca civilization that suddenly appears on a ridge of the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 2,430 meters. It was built around 1450 during the reign of Emperor Pachacutec, who developed the Incas into an empire. From the village of Machu Picchu at the foot of the mountain, you will take a 30-minute bus ride up the zigzag Hiram Bingham Road, named after the American explorer who discovered the ruins. You will see the miraculously beautiful view of the aerial city that has escaped the destruction of the Spanish and remains in its original state.
