Lake Motosu
Lake Motosu is one of the Fuji Five Lakes (Lake Motosu, Lake Shoji, Lake Sai, Lake Kawaguchi, and Lake Yamanaka) located around Mt. Fuji. It is the westernmost of the five lakes and boasts the highest transparency in Honshu. It is known for its scenic beauty, such as the upside-down Fuji reflected on the surface of the lake, which was used in the design of the 1,000 yen bill, and is also a mecca for water activities such as windsurfing and fishing.
