Angkor Wat
Among the ruins of the Khmer dynasty that ruled the Indochina Peninsula for about 600 years, Angkor Wat is famous as the most magnificent temple ruins. The symmetrical complex, with its five shrines resembling Mount Sumeru and expressing the Hindu view of the universe, is decorated with a number of stunningly beautiful reliefs. This precious heritage site, which has undergone decline and destruction throughout history, but still retains its grandeur, has become a destination that people long to visit.
Angkor
Angkor, the capital of the Khmer dynasty that reigned over the Indochina Peninsula for 600 years from the 9th to 15th centuries, has hundreds of ruins of cities and temples. The ruins of Angkor Wat, one of the largest temples in the world, and Angkor Thom, a fortified city centering on the Bayon temple with its intricate carvings, and other magnificent ruins reminiscent of the prosperity of the dynasty at that time still attract people from all over the world.
