Water Tower in La Barceloneta
An impressive Modernisme-style water tower stands in the park in the La Barceloneta district, which faces the Balearic Sea. From the 19th to the 20th century, there was a large gas factory on this site. Even now, when the park is well-equipped with sports facilities, the water tower and other buildings that were once the offices of the gas factory remain, allowing visitors to enjoy a stroll while feeling the history of the place.
Barcelona
Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is one of the world's leading tourist cities, facing the Mediterranean Sea and blessed with a mild climate. It is famous for its architecture by Antoni Gaudí, who was active in the 19th century, and especially for the splendor of the Sagrada Familia, which is still being built today. The city's large area is also home to many other attractions, such as the historic Gothic Quarter, Montjuïc with its many museums, and Tibidabo, which offers a panoramic view of Barcelona.
