Arcadia, Greece
Tyros
Located on the east coast of the Peloponnese, facing the majestic Aegean Sea, Tyros is a picturesque city with an ancient history dating back to prehistoric times. It is located in the Tsakonia region, which has its own unique culture, including the Tsakonian language, which is derived from the ancient Greek language, and traditional dances. Usually a quiet seaside town, Tyros is crowded with tourists during Easter, when grand festivals are held, and during the summer vacation season when the azure sea shines brightly.
Arcadia
Arcadia stretches around the mountainous region in the center of the Peloponnese. The region, where cattle raising has been practiced since ancient times, has become synonymous with paradise and a utopia, and its idyllic scenery was depicted in medieval paintings. Today, the beautiful nature of Arcadia, with its deep green mountains, valleys, and the sparkling Aegean Sea, is dotted with towns and monasteries built on cliffs that retain the atmosphere of the Middle Ages. You can enjoy a simple trip to encounter old-fashioned Greece, which is different from the more touristy areas.
