Österlånggatan Street
Österlånggatan Street has long been a major street in Gamla Stan. The narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with old buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries and are lined with cafes and stores. The streets running north to south are intersected by many alleys, and at the end of the alleyway going down toward the east, a lake is visible. The streets are full of history and Gamla Stan is a great place to stroll.
Gamla Stan
Gamla Stan, which has long flourished as the center of Stockholm, is an area on an island in Lake Mälaren where narrow cobblestone alleys and historic buildings line the streets, giving visitors the feeling of stepping back in time to a medieval city. The small island is full of sights to see, such as the vast royal palace built in the 18th century and still used for official business, the cathedral with its clocked bell tower, and the square with its colorful buildings.
