Miradouro da Senhora do Monte

The Miradouro da Senhora do Monte on the hill overlooks the city of Lisbon from the north. It is located next to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Hill, which is known for its prayers for safe childbirth. From this vantage point, you can see a wide range of buildings lining the undulating terrain and the land on the other side of the Tagus River. While the view from here is reputed to be one of the most beautiful of all Lisbon's observatories, the peaceful and serene atmosphere is also very appealing.
