Gullfoss
Gullfoss Waterfall, said to be the most beautiful waterfall in Iceland, is located in the valley of the Hvítá River, which is fed by the Langjökull Glacier. As the name "Golden Waterfall" implies, it is a magnificent sight to see the splashes of water glistening in the sun. You can see the waterfall up close from the boardwalk as it cascades down into the cracks of the earth.
Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is a classic tourist route that takes you through the spectacular natural art of Iceland. The most popular spots are the Þingvellir National Park, with the cracks of the continental plates appearing on the surface of the earth; the Geysir, which erupts from the earth; and the Gullfoss Waterfall, where the glacier flows and makes a mighty splash. There are many tours from Reykjavik that will take you to the heartbeat of the earth.
