Revolution Square

Revolution Square, a landmark of Havana's new city center, symbolizes Cuba's independence. Surrounded by green trees, the square has a simple, open atmosphere, and classic American-made cars add a splash of color. Plaza de la Revolución

The Plaza de la Revolución district flourishes as the economic and administrative center of Havana. It is crowded with hotels, restaurants, and cabarets that add color to Cuba's nightlife, and is bustling with tourists day and night. One of the highlights of the district is Revolution Square. The towering José Martí Memorial and the portraits of revolutionaries Che Guevara and Camilo Cienfuegos adorning the walls of the buildings create an impressive landscape in the vast square, which attracts more than a million people when it is time for a rally.
