Snæfellsnes Peninsula
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula, located in the western part of Iceland, juts out into the North Atlantic Ocean for about 90 km. It's full of the charm of Iceland, with volcanoes and glaciers, green grasslands and black sand beaches, and small towns along the coast. You can take a day trip from Reykjavik, but staying longer and visiting glaciers and waterfalls, whale watching, and enjoying the Northern Lights are also great options.
