Mount Hotaka

Mount Hotaka is a mountain range consisting of several peaks, including Oku-Hotaka (3,190m), the highest peak in the North Alps. Although the steep mountains are difficult to climb, their majestic and beautiful appearance attracts not only climbers but also many tourists who enjoy the view from the base. Mount Hotaka is also known as a sacred place for rock climbing, with many rocky areas and twill zones that exceed the limits of the forest.

The Northern Alps (Japan)

The Hida mountain range, popularly known as the "Northern Alps" is 150 km long from north to south and 25 km long from east to west, and is lined with mountains over 3,000 meters high, including the 3,190-meter-high Okuhotaka-dake. The Hida mountain range is loved by climbers for its variety of attractions, from difficult routes that require advanced climbers to spectacular views that can be enjoyed easily by ropeway.
