Kansai International Airport
Kansai International Airport, the air gateway connecting Kansai with the rest of the world, was the first airport in the world to be built on a completely man-made island at sea. The number of international passengers has continued to increase since its opening in 1994, with the second runway being put into service in 2007. There is an observatory where you can watch the dynamic movement of airplanes as they take off and land from the sky to the sea and from the sea to the sky, making the airport not only a transit point but also a destination.
Senshu
Located in the southern part of Osaka, the Senshu area is blessed with rich nature and historical heritage. The area is famous for its agriculture and fishery, and specialties such as onions, eggplant, conger eel, and blue crab, etc. There are many attractions to visit, including a huge 5th century burial mound, traditional industries unique to a town of merchants, and places famous for seasonal flowers such as cherry and plum blossoms. You can discover the hidden charms of Osaka at the doorstep of Kansai International Airport, the gateway to western Japan.
