Sogn og Fjordane, Norway
Vetlefjorden
Vetlefjorden is a small tributary to the north of Sognefjord, the largest in Norway. Although it is not well known by tourists, there is a scenic road that runs along the fjord, and you can stop along the way to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery reflected in the calm water. Gazing at the empty shores of the fjord as it stretches out into the distance, you can feel the pristine nature that has remained unchanged since long ago.
Sognefjord
The Sognefjord, the largest of the many fjords that fill the Norwegian coast, is a 5 km wide inlet that stretches from the coast to about 200 km inland. While the depth near the entrance is only about 100 meters, the maximum depth near the center reaches 1,308 meters, and steep cliffs with elevations of 1,000 meters surround both banks. Fjord cruises are one of the most popular activities in Norway, offering beautiful views of the spectacular terrain.
