Dive sites in South Malé Atoll

In South Malé Atoll, dive sites are concentrated especially in the north and southeast. In the north is Vadoo Channel and in the east is Guraidhoo Channel, both of which have strong currents, and the surrounding area is full of dynamic dive sites. The atolls are relatively small, so no matter where you stay, you can easily access a variety of dive sites within the atolls. You can relax and enjoy your stay while taking in the famous sites.

South Malé Atoll

The Republic of Maldives is home to 26 coral atolls, of which the North and South Malé Atolls have been the focus of resort development for many years. South Malé Atoll is located south of North Malé Atoll, where the capital Malé is located, across the 4.5 km wide Vadoo Channel, and is approximately 36 km long and 19 km wide at its widest point. There are more than 20 resorts, many of them luxurious and unique, and the surrounding ocean is blessed with dive sites that take advantage of the ocean currents.
