Dettifoss
The Dettifoss waterfall flows down from the vast land of North Iceland into a deeply incised gorge. With a width of 100 meters and a drop of 45 meters, it is the most powerful waterfall in Iceland, the land of waterfalls. The water from the Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest in Europe, is grayish-white with sediment, and combined with the desolate land, it creates a unique landscape that looks like another world.
Diamond Circle
In northeastern Iceland, the Diamond Circle is a classic tourist route that takes you through a variety of unique landscapes created by volcanic activity. Starting from the central city of Akureyri in the north, the 250km route will take you to the jade-colored waters of Lake Mývatn and the Dettifoss Waterfall, one of Europe's largest waterfalls, and other spectacular natural formations.
