Sorapiss
Sorapiss, 3,205 meters high, rises southeast of the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the eastern center of Dolomites tourism. Although the summit requires experience and solid equipment and is not for the general public, its grandeur can be clearly seen from the resort town. Along with Tofana di Mezzo (3,244 meters) and Monte Cristallo (3,221 meters), it is one of the most familiar mountains in the Cortina d'Ampezzo area.
Dolomites
The Dolomites, a mountainous region in northeastern Italy, is known for its numerous mountain massifs that contain a unique ore called dolomite. The mountains that rise like spires toward the sky are a unique and spectacular natural formation, and their impressive scenery, together with the forests and villages that cover their foothills, is a highlight of the region. It is a major resort area that attracts people all year round, with mountain climbing and hiking in the summer and a skiing mecca in the winter.
