Jökulsárlón Glacier Lake

In the southeastern part of Iceland, near the Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe, lies a glacial lake called Jökulsárlón. The tip of the glacier has collapsed and formed icebergs of various sizes, glowing white and blue in a fantastic scene so beautiful that it has been the setting for many movies. On a boat tour through the icebergs, you can see seals and seabirds that gather in the lake, which is also a rich fishing ground.

South Coast of Iceland

Along National Route 1 on the south coast of Iceland, from Selfoss to the town of Höfn, there is a wide variety of scenery created by volcanoes and glaciers.
