Tulum, Mexico
Tulum
The ruins of Tulum stand on a cliff facing the Caribbean Sea. It was a prosperous trading city in the late Mayan period, from around 1200 to 1600. A number of temples were built here, and their walls are decorated with frescoes and carvings reminiscent of that time. Down the stairs from the side of the majestic temple is a beach overlooking the clear blue sea. This is a ruin with a unique charm, where you can enjoy both the romance of history and the feeling of a resort.
