Aurlandsfjord

The Aurlandsfjord, a tributary of the Sognefjord, Norway's largest fjord, is a 29-km-long inlet surrounded by steep 1,800-meter-high mountains with a magnificent view of cascading waterfalls. At the far end is the town of Flåm, which can be reached by train from Oslo or Bergen, and a fjord cruise starting from Flåm is a popular highlight of any trip to Norway.

Sognefjord

The Sognefjord, the largest of the many fjords that fill the Norwegian coast, is a 5 km wide inlet that stretches from the coast to about 200 km inland. While the depth near the entrance is only about 100 meters, the maximum depth near the center reaches 1,308 meters, and steep cliffs with elevations of 1,000 meters surround both banks. Fjord cruises are one of the most popular activities in Norway, offering beautiful views of the spectacular terrain.
