Alpsee Lake
Nestled in the mountains of Schwangau, the Alpsee Lake is well known for the scenic views it spins together with the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle. The lake is 4.7 km in circumference, with a promenade along its shores that attracts many visitors in summer to cool off. The peaceful waterside scenery is a perfect spot to take a break between castle tours.
Füssen
Füssen is the terminus of the Romantic Road, which runs from central to southern Germany. It is a small town nestled on the banks of the Lech River, a tributary of the Danube.
