St. James's Church
Just north of Marktplatz, the center of Rothenburg's Old Town, stands the Gothic-style St. James's Church. The church, with its simple exterior and two towers of slightly different heights, was completed between 1311 and 1484, and features a beautiful interior with exquisite carvings on the altar of the Holy Blood, built more than 500 years ago, and 17-meter-high stained glass windows.
Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Located along the Romantic Road, one of Germany's main tourist routes, and overlooking the Tauber River, Rothenburg is a medieval town that was founded as a city in the 12th century and prospered until the Thirty Years' War in the 17th century. Walking at your leisure through the intricate cobblestone alleys of the small old town surrounded by city walls, you can enjoy a time travel to a picture book-like world.
